Free Teen Police and Fire Academy!

Are you a teen interested in learning more about the police and fire departments?

As part of the National Night Out Initiative, the Police and Fire Departments offer students enrolled in grades 10-12 a free nine-day course. This academy aims to foster relationships between the city's public safety departments and youth in the community.

The academy will cover:

  • Uniform patrol
  • Assault & battery
  • Fire apparatus
  • CPR training
  • Drug enforcement
  • College preparedness
  • Careers in law enforcement and fire safety
  • Fire hose training
  • K-9, SWAT, Mounted and Motors

Monday, June 5 - Thursday, June 15, 2023
