Position: Volunteer Organizational Chair

Committee: Curry Ford West District Nonprofit Board

Location: Curry Ford West District, Orlando, Florida

Time Commitment: Flexible, Approximately 3-5 hours per month

Role Overview:

As the Volunteer Organizational Chair of our nonprofit board committee, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and effective coordination of our various initiatives and activities. Working closely with fellow committee members and board leadership, you will help streamline processes, enhance communication, and strengthen our organizational capacity.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate committee meetings and ensure effective communication among members.

  • Coordinate with board leadership to align committee goals with the overall mission and vision of the organization.

  • Develop and maintain organizational documents, such as meeting agendas, minutes, and action plans.

  • Collaborate with committee members to assign tasks, track progress, and ensure deadlines are met.

  • Serve as a liaison between the committee and other stakeholders, including board members, volunteers, and community partners.

  • Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance committee efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Support recruitment efforts to expand committee membership and engage new volunteers.

  • Organize and execute events and initiatives that support the community and organization.

  • Seek fundraising opportunities to support the community and organization.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Experience in committee leadership, volunteer management, or related roles preferred.

  • Passion for community development, civic engagement, and making a positive impact in Curry Ford West District.

  • Commitment to the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
