Position: Volunteer Board Member Committee: Curry Ford West District Nonprofit Board Location: Curry Ford West District, Orlando, Florida Time Commitment: Flexible, Approximately 3-5 hours per month

Role Overview: As a Volunteer Board Member of our nonprofit board committee, you will play a crucial role in guiding the strategic direction and decision-making processes of Curry Ford West District. Working collaboratively with fellow board members and community stakeholders, you'll help shape initiatives, advocate for our mission, and drive positive change in our neighborhood.
Responsibilities:
- Attend monthly board meetings and actively participate in discussions and decision-making processes.
- Contribute expertise, insights, and ideas to help advance the goals and priorities of Curry Ford West District.
- Serve on committees or task forces as needed to address specific issues or initiatives.
- Act as an ambassador for Curry Ford West District, promoting our mission and engaging with community members, businesses, and partners.
- Assist in fundraising efforts, grant writing, and other resource development activities to support our programs and initiatives.
- Stay informed about local issues, trends, and opportunities relevant to our mission and work.
Qualifications:
- Passion for community development, urban revitalization, and placemaking.
- Commitment to the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Experience in nonprofit governance, community organizing, or related fields is a plus.
- Dedication to making a positive impact and creating lasting change in Curry Ford West District.
